Yorimitsu - Raikô

One of Johto's "Legendary Beasts" ressurected by Ho-oh that fateful day.

Yorimitsu wanted to help her people yet realized her grand ideals were nothing in the grand scheme of things. Not everyone was pleased by a warlord whose rule disregarded the passing generations. Being a legendary didn't mean she could grant the country's wishes either.

So she left. Nowadays she roams the world, fleeing the region as soon as her true identity comes to light. She sometimes runs "errands" in the name of Ho-oh, which are mostly beating some sense into poweful beings getting too destructive or telling him about whatever new thing happened down here.

Yorimitsu is outgoing and cheerful, her careless behaviour contrasting with the number of sunrise she lived to witness. Honestly? She's scared of being left behind by the world, hence her pursuing each "new thing" and ending up looking like a teen that doesn't really know what she's doing.

Well, she was kind of like that in her first life too. She didn't want to miss out on anything the world had to offer and often got into trouble because of it. That's how she ended up in a burning building, namely.

Moving up the social ladder during the warring states period toughened up Yorimitsu. Unlike most mortal, she learnt to part with any material possessions- and to let go of friends whose life is shorter. In situation of crisis, she's cold and thus able to take action efficiently. It's only because the world is currently at peace that this side of her personnality stays dormant.

Partner

Artemis: Her girlfriend! Yorimitsu finds her adorable, especially when she's pouting- though honestly, Yorimitsu does feel bad about leaving her alone for long periods of time. Given both their lifespan, though, those don't matter too much.

Family

Aurum: Ho-oh saved her life and gave her a new purpose, hence Yorimitsu will always be deeply loyal to him. In return, he always respected her decisions no matter what he thought of them.

Suizen: "Brother" more like bother! While Yorimitsu is thankful for the man to attempt to save her back then, regardless of his failure, it seems like he didn't realize she grew up. She's not as naive as he seemingly thinks.

Past foes

Argyros: They briefly met each other during a war involving the Whirl Islands. On one hand Yorimitsu understands the man's position, on the other he did wipe out a large part of her army and she can't forgive him for that.

• Her name, nickname and initial premise are based on warlord Minamoto no Yorimitsu, but the similarities ends there.
• Before her untimely death, she was from a now extinct species most similar to the recently discovered "Raging Bolt".
• As someone from an older era, Yorimitsu had to adopt a masculine gender expression for the sake of being taken seriously: she didn't mind masculine pronouns but always was a girl, only recently making the jump on experimenting with her feminity.
